Exercises
The inner conversation. The goal of this exercise is to bring awareness to the inner conversation that is often shaped by our belief systems and to encourage more constructive thinking patterns. Divide participants into pairs and assign roles A and B to each pair. Person A takes on the role of their inner voice and expresses their thoughts and beliefs regarding a particular challenge or situation. Person B takes the role of a supportive and encouraging friend and offers constructive advice based on positive beliefs. After a few minutes, participants switch roles and repeat the process. At the end of the role play, participants discuss how the different belief systems affect their feelings and actions and how they can develop more constructive thinking patterns. Overcoming limiting belief systems. The goal of this exercise is to identify limiting belief systems and develop strategies to overcome them.
Divide the participants into groups of three. Each participant takes the role of the protagonist, the limiting belief or the empowering belief.
The protagonist describes a situation in which he or she encounters a challenge or wants to achieve a goal.
